Fold Run is an endless runner with a character dashing from rooftop to rooftop. The character runs by itself; you make it jump with short, quick flicks of the phone's top half. The goal is to get as far as possible and collect gold without falling into gaps or crashing into crates and pipes.
How to play
- Flick the top half of the phone briefly and quickly: the character jumps.
- Hold the position for a moment after the flick and the character jumps higher and further.
- Flick again in mid-air for a double jump.
- Gold coins score points. If the sensor doesn't work, tap the screen to jump.
Tips
- A single short flick is enough for small gaps; for long gaps, hold for a moment after the flick.
- Save the double jump for emergencies. If your first jump was late, the second flick can save you.
- Obstacles are brightly coloured: orange crates, yellow-and-black pipes and red towers. Plan your jump as soon as you see them.
- Bringing the phone back doesn't count as another jump, so you can finish the movement calmly.
How are the controls detected?
The game looks at how far the phone has moved from where it last rested. So a short flick counts as a jump whether the phone is flat open or half folded. Only movement away from that rest position counts, not the return. As your speed increases, gaps and obstacles come more often.
What do you need?
Katla games run in the browser; there is nothing to download or install. The games read the phone's fold angle from its motion sensor, so they play best on foldable phones such as the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip. On a phone that doesn't fold you can tilt the phone with your wrist instead of moving the top half, and most games can also be played by tapping the screen. Motion sensors only work over a secure connection (https).
