Claw Machine

Claw Machine brings the arcade claw game to your phone. On each level the sign at the top of the machine says which toy it wants, and you have to carry that toy to the exit before your tokens run out. A classic game of precise positioning with a little bit of luck.

How to play

The target toy is written on the sign; a yellow arrow bounces above the targets in the pit.
Tap the screen or drag your finger: the claw moves to where your finger is.
When the claw is right above a target, its ring turns green. Press ▼ DROP or fold the phone.
The claw goes down by itself, closes and carries the toy to the exit. On a keyboard, ← → move and space drops.

Tips

Don't drop before the ring turns green. A toy grabbed by its edge can slip on the way.
The claw carriage needs some distance to stop; slow your finger as you approach the target so the claw doesn't swing.
Toys at the top of the pile are easier to grab. If the target is buried, taking the toy above it first can help.
Other toys also score, but only a little, and they use up a token. Tokens left over turn into points at the end of the level.

How do the levels progress?

There are eight designed levels followed by an endless mode. The target changes on every level, and as you progress the claw's grip gets a little looser, so you need to centre it better. Toys that fall while the machine refills at the start of a level don't count. When you clear a level, every remaining token is added as bonus points.

What do you need?

Katla games run in the browser; there is nothing to download or install. The games read the phone's fold angle from its motion sensor, so they play best on foldable phones such as the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip. On a phone that doesn't fold you can tilt the phone with your wrist instead of moving the top half, and most games can also be played by tapping the screen. Motion sensors only work over a secure connection (https).
